Registration and Support:
The course is open to everyone interested in the Lab's
activities and in the topics of numerical simulation and parallel
computing. If you are interested in participating, please send
an email to Igor Trajkovski not later than
February 15.
Your email should contain the following information:
- Family name
- First name
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Professional status (undergraduate / graduate / PhD student, Post Doc,
assistant, professor, ...)
- Your field (applied mathematics, computer science, mechanical engineering, ...)
- Institution
- Address
- Email address
This is just to get an overview of how many participants we have to
expect (appropriate size of lecture room etc.).
Attending the course is free of charge!
Furthermore, HRK, who finances the lab, and
DAAD,
the German Academic Exchange Service, have granted support for
students from outside Belgrade, either in Yugoslavia or in one of its
neighbouring countries. Hence, we offer up to 25 scholarships
covering accomodation (6 nights from Sunday, February 24, until Saturday,
March 2, inluding breakfast and dinner) as well as some subsidy for
travel expenses (depending on the actual cost). Students who want to
apply for this support should mention it in their registration email
and give some estimate of their travel cost. In case of an application
for support, we need your registration email not later than
February 8.
With these scholarships, we want to especially encourage students
from outside Belgrade to take this chance of some training in a
highly relevant and up-to-date field of research.
Applications will be taken into account based on a first-come-first-served
strategy and some regional balancing. If you know someone who might be
interested in taking part as well, please inform him or her!
For any questions, please contact Igor Trajkovski.
We are looking forward to your registration or application - see you in Belgrade!
Arriving in Belgrade, Location:
Here you can find part of the
city map
where all interesting points are marked. These are the addresses:
Masinski Fakultet Beograd (M.E.F. in the map)
(Mechanical Engineering Faculty)
street: 27 marta 80
Here, the opening and the course take place!
Hotel UNION (UNION in the map)
street: Kosovska 1
Hotel of students with scholarships!
Participants arriving by airplane should take the bus from the airport
(starts each full hour) to the Air Terminal (the last station in front
of the Hotel Slavia).
The price is 80 din < 2 euro. The distance from Hotel Slavia to Hotel
Union is little bit greater than 1 km.
Bus and railway stations are side by side and are about 1 km away from
Hotel Union (but a little bit uphill). The street Nusiceva is connected
to the street Terazije,
but you must pass through the building passage.
If anything goes wrong (somebody gets lost), please call Prof. Dr
Zlatko Petrovic. His mobile phone number is 064 16 707 66.
Or call secretary of the faculty 3370 350
(during working hours).
