In Zusammenarbeit mit BMW wurde die mögliche Nutzung von Quantencomputing as a Service (QCaaS) evaluiert. Hierfür wurden ausgewählte Anbieter auf dem Markt kategorisiert und anschließend mit Hilfe selbst definierter Key Performance Indikatoren (KPI) bewertet. Der Vortrag soll eine Einführung in das Thema Quantencomputing geben sowie den derzeitigen technischen Stand verdeutlichen. Anschließend werden die ausgewerteten KPIs beispielhaft präsentiert.

Fiber patch placement (FPP) is a novel automated production process for carbon fiber reinforced composites (CFRP). This is a discontinuous approach inevitably leads to gaps and therefore stress concentrations inside the laminate. These stress concentrations are highly influenced by the overlapping pattern of the patches. In order to exploit the strength of the patch material, an optimization of these overlaps is mandatory. Cevotec GmbH develops a proprietary software called Artist Studio which creates and optimizes the patch layup based on experimental results. The thesis deals with research on nature-based metaheuristic algorithms to solve a non-linear discrete optimization problem and parameter study of selected optimization algorithms.
