Gerasimos Chourdakis: A general OpenFOAM adapter for the coupling library preCICE
The coupling library preCICE allows to combine multiple simulations, enabling them to efficiently work together on their shared interfaces. Ιn order to use a solver with preCICE we need an adapter, which provides access to the solver’s interface data and control elements. A variety of OpenFOAM solvers has previously been adapted for preCICE, using adapters specially tailored to each solver. This final master's thesis talk will present a general, solver-agnostic, and extensible OpenFOAM adapter for preCICE that does not require any changes to the solver's source code and can be loaded at runtime.
