Suess Wilhelm
(* March 7th 1895 in Frankfurt Main, † May 21st 1958 in Freiburg-Günterstal)
Life
After his first work about geometry and group theory he took over a professorship at the University in Freiburg 1934. The former professor was Alfred Loewy, a jew who had to leave Germany. He was a fanatic Nazi who kept best contacts to the politics, so he triumphed over his rival Doetsch and forced him out of an acamdemic carrier.
After the war he was off duty for a while but continued his work Until 1954.
