Application

The application will be managed via EasyChair. We will update this page with the link to EasyChar as soon as the application process has been started. This will be approximately at the end od December.

All participants need to register at EasyChair and submit a ~300 word abstract of their work in tex/LaTeX. The registration is now open and can be found here.

The deadline for submitting abstracts is the 1st of February!

Contribution

After the acceptance notification every speaker can register for the SGA.
A registration fee applies (see below).

Please register on the SGA2018 registration website by indicating "Participation only" in the Title of talk field.

Note that we have to charge a fee to cover lunch and coffee breaks.

Support

We can offer some financial support for speakers and student participants who do not have enough own funds.
All people that want to apply for the funds can send a mail to sga2018@mailsccs.in.tum.de until the 23th of February with the following details:
  • Name
  • Title of talk (only speakers are supported)
  • Affiliation
  • Student or Non-Student (in the second case add the status of employment)
  • Amount of requested funds (list in detail for what you need how much)
  • Explanation why you need financial support
The steering committee will then discuss all candidates and select the candidates that will be funded.

All applicants must submit an abstract until the 16th of February in order to be eligible for the financial support. Please contact Michael Obersteiner (via sga2018@mailsccs.in.tum.de) for further information if you want to apply for financial support.
