=About me=
After my Diploma degree in Informatics I started working in May 2010 as a PhD student of [[Univ.-Prof. Dr. Michael Bader]] in the group "Simulation großer Systeme" [https://www.ipvs.uni-stuttgart.de/abteilungen/sgs] at the IPVS, Universität Stuttgart, which back then was led by Prof. Marc-Alexander Schweitzer [http://wissrech.ins.uni-bonn.de/people/schweitzer.html]. In November 2011 I moved to Munich to contiunue my PhD studies as a member of the chair for Scientific Computing in Computer Science under [[Univ.-Prof. Dr. Hans-Joachim Bungartz]], still under the advisorship of Prof. Bader.
 
My topics of interest include High Performacne Computing (HPC) for applications such as multi-phase flow in porous media and tsunami simulation, dynamically adaptive grids, parallelization of unstructured meshes and load balancing with space-filling curves.
