Wilhelm Johann Eugen Blaschke


Wilhelm Blaschke (* September 13th 1885 in Graz, † March 17th 1962 in Hamburg) Mathematician and autor, Professor in Prague.


Life

His Father was geometry teacher in Graz which influenced him to only geometrical proof by Jakob Steiner. First he studied architecture before he changed to mathematics.

In the early States of Third Reich he was affronted with the isolation in matters of Science. Later he became a member of NSDAP, not only because of his career but also because he agreed with the Nazi Ideas.
