Erich Kamke
(* August 18th 1890 in Marienburg, † September 28th 1961 in Rottenburg Neckar)
Life
Kamke married the jewish Dora Heimowitch 1918. In times of Nationalsocalism he was isolated and put off duty 1937 for political issues. The German Institute for Aircrafts reassigned him, so he could continue his work.
Shortly after the end of WW2 Kamke got back all his academic awards and his old job. From know on he worked for the rebuilt of the University Tübingen. He became Vizepresident of the Internationla mathmatical Union.
