Research Interests

Between 2009 and 2014 I've been part of the Virtual Arabia collaboration project between TUM and the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

In my work I've focused on data structures and algorithms around the Sparse Grid Technique, putting special emphasis on the following aspects:

• Algorithmic optimizations on modern parallel platforms
• Efficient data structures on modern parallel platforms
• Shared memory parallelization and vectorization on multi-core CPUs
• Accelerator programming: GPGPU, Intel MIC
• Hierarchical representation of simulation data
